| Upgrading Firmware |
If
you'd like to upgrade your TDC firmware you can either burn your own PROMS from the files
available for download (on the left of this page), or request PROMS from Lance
Design. We do not charge for the firmware upgrades, however we do ask
that you only request one copy per unit, and that you provide a Federal Express account
number for us to use to cover the shipping charges. If you'd like to request
PROMS, please send us an email with Fedex account number, contact name, shipping address
and phone number, number of copies requested, and TDC-100 serial numbers (if
possible). This will allow us to keep our records up to date.

| Version 3.4 - October, 2007 |
This
is the current version for the TDC-100. It contains the features of all previous
versions, plus the added feature of an 'External' clip list mode (menu selectable).
For certain ddrs which support the required additional commands (EVS Spotbox) this mode
provides access to an unlimited number of clips, as well as instant updating of current
clip status for clips loaded by a method other than the TDC-100 panel.
|
| Version 3.3 - July, 2007 |
| This is
the same as version 3.2 with a slight modification to accomodate a Profile quirk.
There is no operational difference between this version and Version 3.2, except that it
prevents the Profile from unloading clips at the termination of a loop. If
you're not using Profile, there is no difference whatsoever. |
| Version 3.2 - October, 2006 |
| Allows
machines in play or loop to be unaffected by register recalls if the new registers do not
have an intime. Also includes changes made in version 3.1, which are the improvement in
clip status reporting, and the expansion of P-bus register recalls from 0-99 to 0-299. |
| Version 3.1 - August, 2006 |
| Interim
version which includes improvement in clip status reporting, and the expansion of P-bus
register recalls from 0-99 to 0-299. Very few copies of this version were released,
although it works fine. It is the same as version 3.2, except that it does not
have the feature which allows playbacks and loops to be unaffected by recalling registers
with empty intime registers. |
| Version 3.0 - October, 2004 |
| Major
re-write of TDC firmware, which includes numerous new features and improvements.
These include clip filter, additional trigger functions, multi-point loops, and much
more. There are still many more copies of this version in use than any other.
Versions earlier than V3.0 should certainly be updated, as versions 3.0 and later
represent a significant improvement in features and reliability. |
| Version 2.0 - June, 2001 |
| Widely-used
release version from 2001; now obsolete. If you're using this version, or any
version number prior to 3.0, it is advisable to update your firmware. |
