Lance Design is a designer and manufacturer of high quality specialty products for the
professional broadcast and production industries. Our products are used in the finest
facilities around the world. Our customers include television networks, production studios,
mobile production trucks, edit facilities, universities, and broadcast stations.

We manufacture a number of controllers for videotape and disk recorders, including the
TDC-100 Disk Controller, which has become the industry standard for mobile units and
live control rooms. Our HSE-200 VTR Controller/Editor is used in many high-end mobile
applications, as well as a playback controller in mobile and studio productions. The editing features of this controller are used for fast-turnaround editing on top-rated national
shows. The CP-50 Universal Controllers are perfect for non-linear edit or graphics work stations, as well as on-air playback.

Another product area is Networked Audio. These products take advantage of extremely powerful and cost-effective IT technology by applying it to broadcast audio.

The ADX-2400 Delay/Distribution System provides 48 channels of highest quality audio transmission over standard Ethernet in a 1 RU package. This system provides a powerful tool for distribution of large numbers of audio channels, as is often required in large location productions, or fixed facilities. In the 'announce booth' mode, it provides the truck or control room end of the fiber announce system using the ADX-120 announce units.

The ADX-120 Announce Unit is a revolutionary solution for providing announce booth facilities for sports or any other applications via Ethernet, either fiber or copper. It provides for a headset microphone and IFB, two-channel wet PLs, and an additional mic or line input plus an additional two-channel wet or dry IFB, in a compact unit. Power is obtained over the Ethernet connection, so only a single CAT5 cable is required for each ADX-120. An ADX-2400 in the truck supports up to four ADX-120 units, and provides full remote control and status reporting. This is a lean, cost-effective method of connecting an announce booth with fiber without costly additional components, while providing the highest quality audio.

Lance Design was founded by Bill Lance, a veteran of many years of hands-on field and studio broadcast experience. We try to use this experience to design highly-reliable, easy-to-use products which will perform consistently well in rugged pro environments. We have been providing products to the industry for more than 15 years.
