model CP-50RM Universal Controller is a low-cost, 2RU single-machine controller designed
for applications that don't require the multi-machine capability of the HSE-200. It is intended for any application that requires a high-quality, low cost vtr/ddr controller. It is well-suited for Non-linear Edit Rooms, Graphics Workstations, On-Air or Presentation Playback, Dub Facilities, or Transmission or quality-control positions. The CP-50RM shares the highest quality, reliability, and solid feel of the larger controllers. The ultra-smooth transport control and quick, reliable response is identical to that of the HSE-200. |

In addition, the CP-50RM provides full TBC controls from the front panel. Control is provided for the following parameters:
TBC and Audio Level Control is done using the same RS-422 link that provides transport control. This control mode is supported by almost all digital vtrs (Digi-betacam, IMX, DVC Pro, etc.), and can be used with analog machines such as BVW-75s by using our AIF-422 TBC Control adapter. Another feature of the CP-50RM is an external control port. This allows the CP-50RM to 'pass through' control from another device, such as an Avid or other non-linear edit system. In this configuration, control of the vtr may by instantly delegated to either the CP-50RM panel, or the external system. Two or more panels may also be 'daisy-chained' to allow control from several locations. The external control port may be configured as either RS-422 or RS-232. In the RS-232 mode, it connects directly to PC-based edit systems or graphics workstations, avoiding the need for an external converter. This controller is also available in a desktop version, the CP-50. |
